only did them both on my car last year so about 5k ago- thought they'd last longer!

I'd be inclined to fit new discs and pads, If its only done 30 miles since last year the calipers will probably want cleaning up and greasing.

That's an ABS sensor so wouldn't have been fitted to the W reg.

I'll see what my mechanic thinks Tomo- drives and brakes very well but if they won't clean up I'll stick new ones on- luckily not mega money on a Jimny!

Well that's definitely a fail. Get a second hand axle. The radius arm mountins will be weak if there's that much rust on the axle. What's the rest of it like for rust? Boot floor, body mounts, sills and under the headlights?
