Craigs plates is where I got mine.
They are not legal so I have a normal one on my winch bumper held on with wing nuts so I can whip it off quickly if I'm doing something that might damage it or if I didn't whip it off and did damage it I still have something on it.
My thoughts being I can show the nice Officer the broken one and show I was doing all I could in the circumstances.
Most people get away with them all the time but they are illegal so you can always get prosecuted.

Right at the leading edge of the bonnet. It's as near as dammit vertical which is a requirement so it can be viewed according to regulations.

I got mine from these guys here:
www.dmb.uk.com/prod/2424/custom-number-p...-stick-on-reflective
It's on the leading edge of the bonnet as Helijon describes. It's reflective, has the makers postcode on it (strange requirement but it's the law), BS number and meets all the size and visibility requirements. I've not had a problem with the MOT or in 10,000 miles of driving.
