Had a "Tuesday Trundle" yesterday, as the family have left this morning for their two weeks in the sun, so I brought forward a "Wednesday Wander"...

BUT, got stuck! Vacuum hubs failed (yet to find out where* but had driven oven a load of fallen logs and branches), and spent an hour winching myself back up a hill off four trees :(

Moral of this story... don't go out alone! Even if you think your Jimny is spec'ed for the job in hand!

* Now fitted some free wheel hubs to get it going again for our group's trip on Sunday...

Dave

No :(

Was hoping my eye was going to be better yesterday when I went back to see the consultant... the wound crater is slowly closing up, so I'm stuck with a contact "eye bandage" lense in one eye for another 3 weeks...

As in the blog above, my wife and daughters flew out to Rhodes this morning, so I'm on my yearly stint of 6am to 9pm shifts from now until wednesday the 2nd of September when they get back...

So hoping to resume work with various power tools from then on...

Just off Sundays for next two weeks, so this Sunday we're out 'laning, and next Sunday I'll be having a lie-in, chilling with the Labradors and washing and tidying before they come home...

so tyres will have to wait 'til then... just had to have them at such a bargain price... ;)

Dave

Me too Rich, I get Wednesdays and Sundays 'off'...

I'll just have to be more careful!

Would like the vacuum hubs to work again, will have a look when I have more time...
