Going to need to have one of my rear half shafts re made sometime in the near future, It's a Kam shaft with removable wheel flange ( been onto Kam, And there not interested since being taken over and going bland rover only ). At some point the wheel bearing has seized (before my ownership) and the inner race has rotated on the shaft causing an indentation allowing the wheel bearing to move and not seat properly, Obviously over time this will become worse. So i'm either after the indentation being filled, reground and re hardened or a duplicate shaft making. I have no idea what the shaft is made of, but they were supposed to be stronger so i assume some sort of chromoly. So i am after a manufacturer / engineering company recommendation ( preferaly in the south east ) to repair or remake the shaft.

It's been fettled just a tad.

Your best bet is probably either RAM auto design or Rob Storr.

Thanks Tom, Had already thought of both of those. I've already ruled out Rob Storr due to the fact i'll probably never be able to get hold of him.
I'll more than likely give Richard a ring to see if he can help.
Ideally i'd like to find a company in South East UK so i can take the shaft to them, Don't want to trust the post, As if it gets lost i'm in the shit. I'd like really to have both shafts remade, And maybe a few more sets to sell on as with the removable wheel flange it makes changing wheel bearings very easy.

Yeah , I've tried that and it didn't work, The shaft in the pictures is not the damaged one.

It's been fettled just a tad.
