The standard rear box lies across the rear(sideways)
On the early cars the bend that connects to the box is in the pipe.
On the later models the pipe is straight and the bend is part of the box.
Not sure when it was changed but I suspect pre/post VVT.

Anyway it's tucked up out of the way for offroading.

You can make anything fit as all you need to do is measure the dia of the pipe and cut the end off and obtain a silencer box with a diameter that will fit over the pipe or you can get slip over "sleeves" which go over both pipes.

There are numerous adapters/bends/clamps etc on ebay that will do the job but some drilling/welding may be required for exhaust hangars.

Bike silencers tend to be 50 mm and above but there are plenty universal type back boxes available inc cherry bomb types.

Cherry bombs are loud though!! The reason that the Jimny box is large is that it does most of the silencing.
Do a search for exhaust adapters etc.

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)
