alternative crankshaft pulley was created by philpridd
Hello everyone,re the bonded crank pulley.Normally in the case of other makes, its not long before somwonw, somewhere, offers a re manufactured alternative,so howcome this isnt the case with the Jimny, mine has just failed on a 2008 with only 31900 miles.Have just ordered a new one,at 165 pounds inc. vat.Has Suzuki ever done anything about the rubber bonding,or is the new one likely to go the same way??'be interesting to know the largest mileage covered without breakage,as most seem to break around the 20,/30000 mile mark, maybe thought for a jimnybits new product! Phil.

I've had an early m13a engine that did 140k then had a water leak that went unnoticed and killed the engine. Still on the same pulley. So maybe the later ones aren't as good? It could be just luck of the draw?
An interesting thread would include mileage and year of manufacture so we could find a trend if one exists?

You can fit the liana pulley and a bigger pas belt. This gives slightly lighter steering apparently
