Re Suzuki warrenty and mods was created by Al.
I would like to start some mods, that don't involve Suzuki parts.
How would a 2 or 3 inch suspension upgrade effect the warrenty, I would not expect parts I've changed to be covered, but what about other bits. ?
I would also like to do rear disc upgrade.

I think what ever you change will effect the whole of the warranty and will give the dealers even more leverage not to fix anything if it goes wrong, it's hard enough to get them to fix issue on standard cars as it is :side:

Hmmm, I asked this of my local Suzuki dealer when I lifted an almost new NGV "New Grand Vitara", and they said they would honour the warranty, APART FROM components directly affected by the 2" lift (Rocky Road) applied, so they mentioned bushes in the front and rear wishbones, and the driveshafts that might work at angles they weren't really designed for. But then it was never an issue, as nothing went wrong...
Might be worth having a chat with the dealer who sold it (to you) and see what their thoughts are...
Don't think they'd be keen to cover the braking system when modified though?

I have also asked about modifying cars. I had a brand new Focus ST that I modded. Ford just said it only affected the modified parts not the whole car. Seems manufacturers are okay. It's insurance you have to worry about if undeclared
