Inclinometer app for Android was created by JimnyGlenn
Recently discovered an app for my phone called Inclinometer. Basically a digital inclinometer with a few more features on it. Obviously slope/tilt pitch/roll etcetera. It was completely free and you can even download a Jim on the screen plus numerous other cars. Does anyone know the maximum lean angles etcetera for the Jim as this is user definable on the app? Although I have never been off road it would be interesting to see how effective you more experienced guys find it? Please share your thoughts / experience.

I would never use such an app. Mainly because I mostly use my Jimny for Competition / Winch challenges. But also because looking at your phone takes focus away from driving and you'll never really learn how the Jimny handles in terrain because you're just sitting and looking at this app, waiting for the Jimny to fall over..or not.

So, useless in my opinion.

Instead, use the Phone for music.. Iron Maiden's great for offroading B)

Lean angle depends on the spec of your jimny but, when stationary, it would be just over 40 degrees for a standard Jimny. You wouldn't want to drive along a side slope close to that though, because any slight bump would tip you over. Set it at 30 degrees and see how you feel- 30 degrees is plenty steep enough!
