I have historically been an advocate of Kumho KL17's but I have to say, having had a gander on Tyres Direct's website, the prices of Maxxis tyres are very good value in comparison and everybody seems to like them. They are a new tyre for not much more than a remould. It would be a no brainer for me!

I think there's more to life than extreme tyres and you could likely sell your AT's for a reasonable amount.

I would always suggest to anyone buying a Jimny for Green Laning to get MT's not AT's. Not to go mud churning but you cause less damage to the ground just driving it with MT's on, than you will spinning up AT's.

I used this company, but as you'll see if you followed the link they've gone up £13 a tyre !!! I only bought them 2 months ago, so no idea what is going on with there pricing. £101 still isn't bad, but you'd want to factor in fitting on top of that.

Agree with the others.

BFG KM2 MT tyres or Maxxis Trepadors.

Avoid the Kumho KL71, they may be cheap, but nowhere nearly as good in terrain as KM2's.

Agree. And my MT's are fine on the road and good for 60mph on the motorways.

Only 60? I have no problem doing 70mph+ on BFGs.
