Undo one arm and change it to start with as the other being attached stops it rolling away too.

Fit the first one at the axle end only.

Completely remove the 2nd arm and fit the new one at the axle end only.

Then fit the chassis end of both and you won't be fighting each side.

I hope that's clearer.

By leaving it on its wheels you allow the axle to turn with the castor correction.

Just be sure to chock the wheels well.

You can use a jack to hold the weight of the chassis end of the arm if needs be.

Perhaps I was a bit unclear. I mean Jack the car up, but stands under the chassis rails, one on each side just behind the radius arm mounts. Then it's easy to remove the front wheels with much better access to work on the radius arms, suspension and so on. And the car won't roll a bit ;)

But I want the wheels on the ground for a reason. It's so you can rotate the axle easily and let's face it, there's plenty of room under a Jimny.

Maybe jack it up and remove the wheels to loosen the bolts if they will but otherwise leave it on its wheels.

I see your point Kirky.
We have our own way of doing things :) I just like to remove the wheels to have the room. And with the axle sitting on the jack, it's very easy to rotate, as it's pretty light. Not like a Patrol axle or something :D
