Thanks for the ideas ;)

By the looks of it though braked trailer will be the way to go, I dont plan on carrying heavy loads but something will always pop up. Ive been in contact with a few guys and 2.4m by 1.4m seems to be the popular choice.

ZookFastback wrote: I tow a boat trailer, sailing dinghy trailer, small box trailer and larger box trailer regularly with my Jimny. If I were to start now, I would build a flat trailer that sides could be added to when necessary and to which I could also add an enclosed structure like a tear-drop caravan. Actually, over summer I think I will make exactly that! B)

This way, without the sides I could put quad-bike or a couple of trailbikes on, or slip on a small camper body or attach some rollers for my small boat or ride-on mower.

Would make sure the wheels lined up with the Jimny wheels for ease of towing off-road (travel in the same ruts) and use a roll-over type of trailer connection to that trailer doesn't try to turn Jimny over in certain situations.

Then I could get rid of some of these bloody trailers

Fair few trailers  What size boat do you reckon itd be safe to tow?
