Is this correct about the arb side gears ? So if i put uprated shafts in i would have to change side gears anyway ? Arb or not ? Im abit confused now

Of course it's correct. Why would he lie ?
And it's nothing to do with the ARB side gears. They're just made to fit the shafts, which are standard 22 splines.

So wouldn't you just order an RD208... the 26 spline model? And fit it in the front rather than the rear?

Assuming the crown wheel carriers are the same??? :blink:
I'm in the same predicament, but in reverse, my Calmini (front Vitara) LSD is 26 spline, and impossible to dismantle and change the "side gears" as it were, so I though it easier to swap to Rob Storr's 26 spline shafts to match the diff...
My ARB was originally bought to go in the front of the Vitara based Outbak buggy, but has now nestled in nicely in the back axle of the Jimny, as that is 26 spline also...
