I know this as mine is due to come next week. Really ? I did not realise this and it doesnt say anything about it on websites

Of course it's correct. Why would he lie ?
And it's nothing to do with the ARB side gears. They're just made to fit the shafts, which are standard 22 splines.

Isn't the ARB available in 22 spline (RD206) and 26 spline (RD208) - as I have in the back of mine (originally bought as a Vitara front, but fits a Jimny Rear)...

So wouldn't you just order an RD208... the 26 spline model? And fit it in the front rather than the rear?

Right so if i get 26 spline shafts i just order the arb to fit 26 spline and it wont cost another 300? Is that right ?

As far as I can fathom it out... yes... both are 10 bolt crown wheels, it's just the front is 22 spline and the rear 26 spline...

Assuming the crown wheel carriers are the same???

I'm in the same predicament, but in reverse, my Calmini (front Vitara) LSD is 26 spline, and impossible to dismantle and change the "side gears" as it were, so I though it easier to swap to Rob Storr's 26 spline shafts to match the diff...

My ARB was originally bought to go in the front of the Vitara based Outbak buggy, but has now nestled in nicely in the back axle of the Jimny, as that is 26 spline also...
