Which 2" lift kit do I go was created by tyddy
Hi, I just bought my first Jimny and start away I want to do some modifications to make it a bit more capable.
I was looking at installing 2" Suspension Lift Kit and have found the following products. I was hoping to get all your opinions on which options I should take. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. (Also I am Australia)

Lift Kit: (lift kits I was considering)

Option 1: Suzuki Jimny 2" / 50mm Pro Comp Suspension Lift Kit $700 w/ES9000 shock ( www.jimnybits.co.uk )

Option 2: 2" Dobinson Lift kit suits Suzuki Jimny $875.00 (Superiorengineering.com)

Option 3: EFS Lift kit suits Suzuki Jimny $1,070.00 (Superiorengineering.com)

Option 4: 40mm Tough Dog Lift kit suits Suzuki Jimny $930.00 (Superiorengineering.com)

(possible other options)

Option 5: Jimny 2" / 50mm Trailmaster Lift Kit $870 ( www.jimnybits.co.uk )

Option 6: Jimny 2" / 50mm Avo Premium Suspension Lift Kit $900 ( www.jimnybits.co.uk )

I have tough dog shocks and springs.

no complaints. Steady on-road, plenty of flex off road.

I've been doing a bit of research on springs
bigjimny.com/index.php/forum?view=topic&catid=7&id=54587

Of all the kits you list, I'd probably go with any one of them from Superior Engineering. They apparently know their stuff :)

Also, SE sells Amada Extreme suspension which should be very good shocks for the money.

Are you loading the Jimny up with cage, heavy bumper, winch and so on ??

If you go tough dog, get the HD springs for the front, that way you dont lose clearance with you add bars and winches.

That was my mistake. did a 40mm lift kit, then put on an 80kg bull bar, 50kg winch and 20kg battery. Had to then go to 60mm HD springs to keep it up

Easy on those Kg's.
The Xrox winchbumper weighs 35 kg's, not 80.
A typical low mount winch is 40 kg, 30-35 kg's with synthetic rope.

But you're right, it all adds up.

Also, one thing I don't like about Tough Dog suspension is that they only have one true HD spring, which is for the 80 mm lift. The HD spring for 40mm lift is just the standard 60mm lift spring, and same goes for the 60mm lift. 60mm HD spring is standard 80mm lift spring.

Just using longer springs instead of making them of higher rate is a pretty cheap solution if you ask me. That way it does not match the travel and length of the shocks.
