Convinced about what?

Why do you think the Simex Extreme Trekker/special track tread pattern is so popular, and you don't see many Maxxis Mudzillas?

There's probably a reason for that.

I'm sure if you keep asking the same question, eventually someone will give you the answer you're looking for. But that does not make the tyre any better.

If you want these tyres, why don't you just buy them?

a lot of lads on here run the special trak pattern of tyre. this should at least inform you that on the jimny they perform well. on an open internet search you may get more favourable reviews on the recip but this forum is for jimnys and the lads on here aren't using them . as tom said , make of the replies what you will.
personally i run with what suits me, but as the saying goes , you pays yer money and takes yer chance.

standard jimny - for now

It's not only us Jimny owners that are happy with the Special tracks. As most know, the special tracks are a copy of the very well know Simex Extreme Trekker tyre, which has been used in competitions worldwide for many years now. You hardly ever see Maxxis Mudzillas used, they just aren't very popular. Probably for a reason. If you want a Maxxis tyre that is becoming more and more popular, then look at the Trepador. Being used in competitions Both in the UK and Europe :)
