The Maxtrax are brilliant and lightweight, not as good as traditional waffle boards for bridging but good for what they are designed for..
There is a local bloke getting some similar I believe www.merlinsportperformance.co.uk/shop/re.../msp-tracmat/view-41
I have the RotoPax and mounts but not got round to fitting them yet, there are also excellent but way over priced to be honest

Just to add my two cents here - ive got an ORA hidden mount and a goodwinch goldfish in mine - the above pic shows it in the fitting stage. The winch mount was a bit of a pig to fit and its a tight squeeze to get it behind the bumper, but it does fit. Yet to use it in anger, but i'm chuffed with it. Can't see it not doing what i want it to do. I spoke with goodwinch at Donnington about it, they said it would be fine, spoke with Martin on the stand to see if he had any dealings with what would fit the ORA winch plate he had on display - he said to speak with Rob who was just across the way, and if needs be I could borrow his display model and double check with Goodwinch. Spoke with Rob who said it would be fine to fit a Goldfish 9.5 on the hidden plate, they found it just needs the solenoid moving - which I've done.
I'm going to post a few more pics of my winch set up these next few days - im just in the process of tidying the job up and keeping the stealthy look

Its totally straight out of the box
but i have combined it with a set of the ORA front recovery points, which i tracked down at Bits4Vits (i rung the ORA and Hen said they stopped making them) but a pair appeared on Bits4Vits so i snapped them up
These then went to my local agri works for a spot of tickling and customising  before being married up to the winch plate. Its totally bolt on, i did have to do some grinding and cutting to get everything to fit, but seeing as i cant weld, it does the job for me. It is coupled to a red top and split charger so shouldnt be too much of a problem there

What about a hand winch then? Fits front or back then, also if you have any power issues, battery or engine, in the middle of nowhere alone, a hand winch will always work, some of those pulleys, ground anchors, waffle boards, jack and shovel not as convenient but will do the job, harder and slower but get it done it will
