The snow is on its way! (if it hasnt already hit your area)

What kit do you keep with you at all times once the white stuff hits?

I was thrown in the deep end (literally) as Jersey dose not see snow every year and i wasn't prepared.....

My Jimjam is always fully kitted out with recovery gear, shovel, tools & first aid stuff, so I'm always prepared! Unless I leave it in the garage leaving the undrivable beemer in it's way that is!

stick some michelin pilot alpins on the bmw then it wont get stuck ;)

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

it depends where i'm going in the snow,

when i know its coming pretty bad, i back recovery gear, ( spade shackles strops axe saw etc) and they stay in my car nearly all of winter,

if i'm just driving to work i'll have some spare water a snack and a spare set of clothes ontop,
if i'm heading out into the moors to see how far i can get in the snow, i have about 2 days worth of tinned food maybe a couple of sarnies, 2 pairs of clothes extra coat extra jumper, and what ever else i feel fit to take before i go,

i only go to that extreme when i'm pushing the car deep in the middle of the moors to see where i can get to, i've been stuck 19 hours in my car before in summer and that wasnt nice, so i try to prepare the best i can for being stuck in the snow

If it's as bad as last year I will be leaving the jimny and going back to the defender as it's better suited for getting hey and rations to the sheep mostly as it's a pickup but also it has proper recovery points front and rear so if I do mess up it's easier to get the tractor attached to it. But it is not going to snow, its too much of a pita and the sheep don't like it.

I keep strops, spade, jump leads, lamp, spare bulbs ect in the car all the time, they're in a bag so if I need the space I can just chuck em in the shed. In the snow il stick an extra coat and some wellies in, if I'm going laning then a flask and some grub, with a can of fuel aswell. And a phone charger! Would hate together stuck and have no juice in the phone to call for back up haha
