Are all Jimnys made in Japan? was created by vegetablejoe
I'm just curious... does their Japanese plant export to the world, or does Suzuki have an assembly plant in Europe or elsewhere? I know my vehicle is exported as left-hand drive from Japan. I think so are Swifts and SX4's...

The ragtops were made by Santana Motors in Spain. Maruti makes Suzuki's in India.

Just found the list on Wikipedia...

Assembly

Iwata, Japan
Gurgaon, India
Bekasi, Indonesia
Bangkok, Thailand
Nairobi, Kenya
Bogotá, Colombia (GM Colombia)
Linares, Spain (Santana Motor)

Take a look at the FAQ on the home page

If the vin starts with a J it is made in Japan JS usually.
If it stars V "Europe" VS is most common for spain.

The second letter localises the manufacturing plant, there are a lot of Js and Vs.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
