Im looking at getting a ipad or something like one with memery maps for out lanning is there any tips for buying one or anything better, do you need one with true gps as ive heard this is hard to come by on cheeper makes, also can i put my phones sim card in for internet access wile out.
Any help most appreciated.

You can't expand the memory on iShites, you are stuck with what you have. And they are overpriced, over rated and only lemmings buy them..... :evil:

Get yourself an Android tablet. You can shove an SD card in to expand the memory, are much cheaper and better, IMHO.

The next version of the Nexus 10 is due to be released very soon ( poss later today), this is what I have been holding out for.

I will report back re connectivity once it is out and I spend the beer tokens as no firm specs out yet.
Even if no sim card feature should be able to use the mobile as a wifi hub and connect that way

ya i would like a andriod as i have samsung s4 mini so used to andriod i did think of connecting pad to phone this is a option but be better with sim in pad, i mite have a look at my misiss samsung tab 2 should be quite combatable with my phone never know she mite not notice its gone

Nice result! Android is the way forward

I use an old Commtiva N700 tablet for memory map - it's a bit old school but works really well for what I need it for, has built in gps and you can put a sim in it - can be picked up fairly cheap on ebay. If I used an iPad or more expensive tablet while out laning I'd get stressed that it might fall out of its mount and get a cracked screen etc...
