I wanted more switches to play with and in the dash/console.
The ash tray seemed a good place to start as a fixing option was already to hand.

PROTOTYPE and ASH TRAY

All the switches will feed relays either Maplin NO2AW or NOOAW and the power to feed the relay coils is right next to the switches 10 amp AUX Socket.

PROTOTYPE IN POSITION

Now what can I use them for?

SW1 = Turn air horns off when only a planned small beep is required.

SW2 = Couple the brake lights and rear fog lights.

SW3 = Turn reversing sensors off when the trailer is hitched.

SW4 = Turn on reversing light to warn off traffic queue - too close to my spare wheel (used to just select reverse but not a good idea in an auto).

SW5 = Nitrous Oxide valve !!!!!

Interesting choices.
I have a couple of extra switches in my Jimny. Mine are:
1 LED lightbar roof
2 LED backup light
3 ARB compressor
4 front locker
5 rear locker
I think they're all pretty useful.
