Thanks, used 6mm ali plate and had the brackets made out of 3mm stainless.
Rivnuts used for the fixings.
Was considering countersinking the fixings but having had past experience of trying to get countersunk steel out of ali decided to go with the bolts for ease of removal at oil change time.

Good job.
I used 4mm stainles steel for the brakets and I also applied an aticorosion coating (electroplating) after welding and brushing the brakets.
I also dont think that countersinking the fixings is a good ideea, even my plate is designed to allow the oil change without removal. This holes are also good for watter and mud draining.
