Take the whole mirror off and get it warm in the house overnight. They do pop off but it is risky

I started off high and worked my way down ever since

The glass on mine (08)was broken so I didn't have to worry about breaking good glass.
I can confirm the the mounting plate will pop off the ball joints that do the adjusting.
Can you take off the plastic outer cover??
If so you should then be able to push the back of the glass mounting with something like a blunt screwdriver from the front??
The glass itself is only around a fiver on ebay if it's any help??
