To be honest with you im lost as well, stock Jimny im not moding it yet as its brand new but there are so many tyres out there....
I have been looking at the following:
Maxxis M8060 Trepador Tyres
Insa Turbo Ranger Tyres (Remolds)
Insa Turbo Dakar (Remolds)
Fedima Extreme Evolution (Remolds)
I want something which is cheap but good on and off road and wont let me get stuck in the mud but safe of the road/wet as well.
How badly does 215/75/15 affect the gear ratios?
I really want BF Goodrich T/A KM2 but they dont do them in 205/70/15.

As i was told when i first come on here think where you want your jimny to end up and work from there. Im running standard size dakars atm and they are amazing offroad and can cruise at 70 all day long. I just jacked my jimny up 3 inch so now im gnna buy some 29/30inch special tracks as i dont use the jimny everyday. Try sticking to the original sizes if your doing alot ofroad miles as i think youll find the jimnys a little different to drive

If you do a lot of roadmiles i certainnelly would not buy remolds !!!
For good road and offroadtyres in standardsize i did had the Maxxis Trepador 205/70/R15.
Very satisfied with them, even on wet roads.
On the picture you see them with a 2" Trailmaster lift.
I sold them to a friend who has a Samurai and he also say's it has better roadhandeling now.
Because i wanted more groundclearance i did go for the BF Goodrich TA/KM2 215/75/R15.
Also a good tyre for on- and offroad.
You better spend once a little bit more money and not buying some remolds that can have the problem that your Jimny will be bouncing around because of a possible uneven outline, certainnely after a long trip on highway or road.
