Just noticed on my Jim that there are 2 fans! the standard horrible one that is driven off the drive belts and an electric one that is in front of the radiator........Why 2 fans?

Hello, the front fan (electric) is driven for the ECU.

The ECU power "on" the fan when the air conditioner is on, or the temperature of the water cooling of the engine reaches high values

I say cooling water because the sensor measures the temperature of the water, not of the engine
