I spoke with Admiral last week for a quoute for son aged 21 to drive daughter's Jimny -they were talking £1500 when I asked why so expensive they said in their ranking it was insurance group 17 due to cost of repairs/panels etc, it's not really going to work for young people at that rate :(

I still can't find a good competitive price, and I have also found that quotes quickly expire so when I find a good one, I look at it again later and it's £300 more! I just called 'insure the box' and they said comparison website prices and totally different to actual insurance costs, making the prices they advertise false, is this even legal? :(

All I can surgest mate is having to bite the bullet for the first year to get your no claims and then after that it should fall by about 1000£ I know this is still a lot but in the long run it would be worth it. At least I hope that

How do you tell them it's a 'fun' car? Websites don't give the option to select 'fun', or do I do it by phone? And if I told them that, would they start to think, I'm a risk, doing 'boy racer' activity as I'm a 17yr old male...? Cheers
