Drive belts HELP...! was created by Mala43B
Hi guys, I need some help.
My fan belt snapped the other day, the belt that drives the alternator & water pump.
I got a new belt (Thanks Martin for providing the part number) but seeing as though you have to take the power steering belt off in order to fit the fan belt I thought it would be a good idea to replace that too.
I cut off the power steering belt and after a few bad tempered outbursts I managed to get the alternator to move on its pivot so I could fit the and re tension the fan belt.
However I can't fit the power steering belt as I can't seem to work out how the belt tensioner works, i.e how to adjust the tension pulley so that I can fit and tension the belt.
i have the workshop manual but it is vague to say the least.
Can anyone explain how to adjust the power steering belt pulley, any pictures would be of great help.
Thanks in anticipation guys.

It should be just a case off loosening a bolt and this lets it swivel on an elongated hole , however when i did mine i had to loosen both bolts as the pivot bolt was to tight to let the pully move
