As the standard rails (and brackets) are made of plastic they're only rated to 30kg so not much room for loading up as I need it to hold my body weight as I'm gonna plane to use it as a shooting platform. I worked out £40 for enough steel box tube from eBay (delivered and cut to the lengths I need) and then need welding and and painting.

A guy at work brought up something ihadnt really thought off.... Anyone had any experience of it being really unstable due to it being top heavy??

No as iv got a 4.5" lift the center of gravity is all ove the place
