There are members on this site that are far, far more knowledgeable than me (not difficult it's true). But I do strongly recommend that you slowly (is there any other way?!) take it up to 60mph and check for nasty wheel wobble. You won't miss it if the "Death Wobble" kicks in. If it does, could be Kingpin bearings and that is neither particularly nor easy (well, not for me). Could be just wheel balancing, but you need to check for DW.

Good luck. My wife's had hers 2 weeks now and she's totally fallen for it. You just can't help smiling when you're driving it.

RUST, RUST and er RUST!

In the boot under the carpet and jack etc, behind the head lamps, under the rear seats and where the sills meet the floorpan under the car are the worst placed to my knowledge of the shell.

Chassis seem to not be too bad.

Check also the axle mountings where their brackets are welded to the axle - there have been a couple on here where it's rusted and broke free. It's not an epedemic or anything, but I like my axle to stay attached to my car!

Single cam engines seem to suffer more withhead gasket failure at high mileage than twin cam but I don't think either are immune to it.

Are you a DIY mechanic or would youhave to take it to a garage for any work???

Nope not a mechanic can do some bits though, otherwise it will have to go to a garage. Thanks for all the advice so far though.
