There are alot of posts about this and normally its the kingpins , either bearings or the shims that need replacing.
Jack the front up and grab the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock then wobble the wheel to check for play

Hi Owen,
Welcome to the WibblyWobbly club. Just bought an 05 model for she who must be obeyed and have exactly the same problem. I haven't had the chance to jack it up and check the wheels for play, but penny to a pinch of **** it's the kingpin bearings. Now to find time to get them fixed. Such fun.
FYI. The CO is still driving it around but never goes above 40 until it's sorted.
Good luck.

Hi an welcome Owen and JivingDaddy
are you running standard Jims with standard tyres ?
when I changed from 205/70R15 bridgestones to 205/75/R15 grabbers, that was enough for me to develop the 43 mph jimny shimy, and my solution is simple, I either stay below 43 mph or zip through it asap (yes I know zipping and Jimny's don't really go together.
It could be that a simple steering damper may make your issues acceptable, whilst not not curing the problem
