very small gap between wheel and track rod was created by jimnybob
has anyone else got this problem? basically i rolled underneath the jim this afternoon and couldnt help but notice that the gap between the rim of the front wheels and the bracket on the knuckle joint (where the hub joins the track rod end/steering rack) is very close. like i cant get my little finger through  one side looks like its touched the rim at somepoint. if someone could let me know of a fix or if this is a common thing

HI, yes it is a common issue. I have fitted wheel spacers to my car, only 10mm ones but this has given clearence now that is acceptible.

For me with a standard car on standard Jimny wheels (steels or alloys) all is well, but clearance was very tight when I used a set of Vitara alloys (they were ET20) - so tight in fact that clip on weights fouled the steering arm and I had to remove them and get the wheels rebalanced with stick on weights!

What offset do your rims have? My Jimny has heaps of space with Sunraysia Rims.
