To drain there is a plug on the bottom of the rad ( bottom right when looking from top)
To bleed fill the rad up and rev engine with cap off of rad , bubbles will work there way out and just keep topping up ( aprox 4.5l) dont forget coolant and top up the expansion tank

Test the stat in a cup of boiling water to see if it opens

Other way round if I remember correctly.
M series under the inlet manifold.
G series up front.

Most likely the radiator has to come out so you can access it.
Drain the coolant into a bucket and put it back in

(Don't leave puddles or open containers where doggies, hedgehogs and small children can get at it as it is really yummy smelling and tasting, but poisonous)
Japanese cars use green coolant.
Mine have been running on red for 2 years with no problems though.
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there
