Where to source bits for a service? was created by minibbb
I need to get my 2005 jimny serviced as I don't think it's had one for a while and want to keep it running sweetly!
A colleague at work was a mechanic so will do the work for me but I was wondering where would be best to source the oil, plugs and filters etc?
Also, is it published anywhere what actual items are required?
Cheers lads!

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Oil: halfords when Castrol Magnatec 5w30 is on offer (Asda do it on offer most of the time)
Filters: motor factors.
Plugs: sparkplugs.co.uk or eBay if you don't mind risking overpriced Chinese copies.

I use Halford's own oil, it's made by Comma so is good stuff and you get 5L instead of the 4L that many other brands come as, so you get some for topping up also - not that my Jimny ever uses any oil!

Cheers mate! I wasn't sure whether to use Castrol edge full synthetic or Castrol magnatec 10w 40 semi synthetic. What spec is the halfords own? Don't suppose you can remember the price?
