hi guys recently just bought a jimny and wish to turn it in to a pick up is this possible or am i just dreaming any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

Hi mate when I first got mine I wanted to do this but I got told it had to go to vosa for a not and that it would make it too light and that it would not be a strong amd it would flex a lot so I dint bother but iff it you haven't got to send it vosa then I probly wood do it so I am the same any advice is great.

With regard to the VOSA check I am no expert but I believe this relates to changes to the chassis itself or changes to a monocoque chassis, seeing as the Jimny is just a body that sits on the chassis I would think it’s ok, you would need to research further however. If you have a convertible, it would not be too hard to convert like the one in the first link without any major structural changes also.

Cheers guy any advice on how separate the cab from the back I've removed the back seats of my soft top jimny and made a load liner want to remove the canvas back with out the cab up with rain any suggestion
