Are we talking early car with a standard single DIN stereo, or a later car with the new dash, push button 4WD and custom fit double DIN stereo?
EDIT - just seen your other posts, so seeing as your car is on an 04 plate you'll have the early dash and single DIN stereo. That's pretty good news as you can just remove whatever is there at the moment and replace it with any single DIN stereo that takes your fancy. Removing whatever is there just now may require the appropriate removal keys (cheap and freely available from eBay), or if the fitting cage hasn't been installed particularly well it may just pull straight out. A photo of what you've got would help if you want more specific advice.

Mine had an aftermarket Sony thing which removed easily by just pulling it out - whoever had fitted it hadn't bothered to bend back the fixing tabs! If it is a standard fit unit put in at the factory then it's probably a different matter.
To deal with that you need to remove the front dash surround that goes around the stereo and ashtray. First, remove the ashtray. Look up from the gap and you'll see two screws - remove them. Next, look at the very bottom of that surround and remove the two screws there. Finally there is one last screw at the very top in the middle to remove. The frame will now unclip to reveal another frame that houses the stereo, clock and cubby. There are two screws on either side of this that you need to remove to allow you to slide it forward out of the car. There are holes in the side of this that I would guess are used to bolt in the standard factory stereo - it will be obvious if this is the case. You could bolt the new stereo in place using the same bolts and holes, or you can reassemble the car and then use the fitting cage the stereo comes with.
My Jimny already had ISO connectors in place and they looked to be factory fitted. If you have the same then it will be childs play to hook up the wiring and there is plenty of room around the back of the stereo for the wiring (unlike a lot of cars I've changed stereos on!). If you don't have the ISO connectors then you can pick up an ISO adapter harness thing off eBay for a couple of quid.

Ha! Just seen this after my last post!!! Looks like you could probably just unclip the trim from around the stereo and then use release keys to get the stereo out. The JVC you linked to is standard single DIN size so it will fit no bother.
