High mileage... was created by zaine
Having a nosey around as my current daily will hopefully be going this weekend so i'll be on the market for another jimny

there's one come up locally, looks really clean, some history, its a mode with leather etc 2004 on a 53 plate but has covered 100K+ miles

would this bother you or am i better waiting for something with lower miles?

thanks
z

The mode is a nice spec for a daily Jimny... shame it doesn't have AC :(

100k on a 53plate is quite high... and i'd wait for something with closer to half that.
My 04 has 54k on it for example

Although, if its been well looked after and serviced properly, it should be fine
I've heard of Jimny's doing over 200k!

If the price reflects the mileage, and the Jimny was a toy, I'd buy it.
Otherwise, there are loads about with much lower mileages.

High mileages mean bits will wear out quickly. (Alternator, water pump, bearings etc)

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

At 175,000, you could say I agree with that!

If it's cheap enough it might still be worth looking at - there's always the chance that some of the usual wear and tear things have already been replaced.
