i am running two Odyssey PC1500 for the winch but mine is traybacked so not got the issue with space. May be able to get two under the bonnet if you could move some bits about and fab up a cradle over the other wheel arch.
Mines done as i have got the two alternators. The only way round buying the convertor i think is to run a 24v alternator back to two 12v batteries in series to give you the 24v.

Are you sure your winch motor can take 24 volts? Not all can.
