Hi
Start at the ball end straighten the first kink out, then bend the second bend to around 130 degree angle
then at this time the whole shaft will need to be rotated 90 degrees as in the top picture.
The next bend is about 90 degree angle, best test fit as you`ll need to put a slight bend to keep the stick away for your seat
hopefully you`ll won`t be to far from the mark
Cheers
Pete

Anyone used a press to cold bend it? I'm not a huge fan of heating things up red hot, and play around with them, so I'm gonna try using a press, or then I just use the cut and weld method....

A friend and I did mine today. We decided that the lever is fairly soft and proved this by straightening it out in a large vice quite easily.
Then we bent it using oxy to something like the picture in this thread and tinkered with it from there.
Its all done now and the standard jimny gaiter fits a treat.
Couldn't be happier.
I just need to give it an outing now and try the low range.
