Hello all.
My girlfriends Jimny, who we call Betty, has recently failed the MOT on the front wheel bearings being too loose. After trying several garages, all of whom refused to take on the job and speaking to the local Suzuki dealer who wanted £400 for the job I decided to do it myself.
I trawled the Internet and found Big Jimny, and without the need to sign up and pass on my credit card details, I had the information I needed on how to change the swivel bearings and what I was looking for, a step by step guide with pictures.
I have today finished the job and Betty passed a retest. Thank you very much to the Big Jimny website for that very valuable assistance. I managed to get the bearings from a local firm for £10 each and a genuine seal for £23, I required a new pot of grease to carry out the job correctly but I think I have saved a tidy penny on taking the car to Suzuki.
