Which lift ORA or other?

Ive been looking at getting the ORA 4.5'' lift kit complete but at over £1550 i'm struggling and thats not including polybushes, so I have started to look at other makes as an alternative. Ive noticed that by shopping around for different components using various companies I can drastically reduce this, but am I sacrificing quality? Surely you get what you pay for. Be interested to know anyones viewpoint on this.

Also is there any great disadvantage in choosing a 3'' spring lift coupled with a 1.5'' - 2'' body lift over my first choice of a 4.5'' spring lift, beyond the obvious slight reduction in flex.

I've thought for some time that the ORA kit is the most economical way of going but it's having the money in one lump that makes it hard.

For that reason I have a Bigjimny 3" lift kit, yet to be released, so hold onto your money or speak with Martin.

Quality is up there with the ORA kit and their arms etc can be bought later to compliment it if needed.

3" is plenty too.

you'll certainly get better flex with a 4.5" lift and the ORA kit is very good fo flex - have a look at some of vicious penguins picces (although he does have a body lift as well)
It depends on how big you want to go with tyres - 3" isn't big enough realy for 31s if you want agressive tread and decent flex but an alterantive could be to fit 1.5-2" spring spacers as well and it saves you the hassle of doing the body lift - This is what we have Bits 4 vits do good spring spacers
Also check out jimnybits fo a good value spring / shock / caster adjusted radius arms combination
don't know the price on martins lift so can't comment but both do good quality stuff
if you don't mind mixing and matching have a look at rhino rays front radius arms - we have them and a think they're great - can take wheels in the air pounding no bother

Mine is in the shop. Its the basic 3" lift where you collect together the other bits as you need them.

I did but it was knackered, being an early KAP kit it had done it's time, plus a little extra!

Sorry Martin, hadn't seen the three inch springs in the shop and didn't want you to miss out either. still not taken mine off road proper due to lack of time.

You don't need 31"ers though. I get through some tricky old stuff on my 215/80/15 Malatesta Kaimans and my on road gearing is better for it. I think they are a great compromise.

The bigger you go, the higher you go, the wider you have to go, the more mods you have to do, the more things you break... Cvs etc...
