Hey Halford.....where is your dash rattle? mine is above the passenger side airbag and it's doing my nut in. I've just had the dash apart and can't find anything below the surface of the dash that would be causing it. I know it's coming from that location because when it starts if a place my finger on the top of the dashboard it stops. I might stick a lump of foam in between the dash and the airbag.

Yeh Mark, that's exactly where my rattle is,
the sound it makes is like a dried pea dancing around like a punk rocker in a plastic tub ( ah those were the days  )
I was wondering if it might be something to do with the heater unit, not the air bag as posted by Tim on www.suzuki-forums.com
also check out my earler thread on rattles
Steve - yes that 43 mph dance is the death wobble, but we've only got the Jimny Shimmy at the moment, it starts when doing something as minor as fitting wheel spacers or higher profile AT tyres. It does however, become the dreaded death wobble for those guys with lifts and more extreme tyres and can actually be pretty dodgy.
try googling "death wobble site:bigjimny.com" the solution appears to be to fit Martins kingpin shim kit
tip BigJimny forum search is pants - best to use google, after your search term add site:bigjimny.com

My Jimny also has a rattle which is on the passenger side. It is the glove box lid which has a resonance at specific rev's. The glove box lock doesn't seem to be adjustable to tighten up the fit, so I've put a strip of black foam on the lid to stop the rattle. I've tried to heat the lid with a hot air gun to allow me to bend in the corners and hold in place until it 'sets' into a new position.

The wobble is related to wear in the kingpin bearing, it can affect even low mileage standard trucks that have never been off the tarmac.
Black Jimny's don't get stuck!
