Hi Darth, those stick on ones look like they're fatter than the standard UK ones, but tiny compared to Oz ones.

thinking of maybe getting a sheet of acrylic from wickes and having a play with a heat gun and see what happens - I can use my standard Suzuki clip-in ones as templates :S

Hi Halford,
Not trying to dampen your enthusiuasm but I think you will struggle with the heat gun - it is too coarse a tool for the job - slightest over heating and it will bubble, you really need an oven and a decent former so it can be drape moulded. We have a couple of hot wire benders which are fine for straight folds and do quite a lot of work with plastic- vac forming etc and it isn't as easy as it sounds!

Yeh Mike think you're right,
bending the horizontal section would be ok, as would the 70' vertical - but where they meet would be a proper arse :pinch:

Does sound though as if you're the man to start production for the UK market

Hello!

Can somebody, who has these genuine Suzuki wind deflectors, measure their size and inform us?

I need that because I do not live in UK, and these items are not available in my country (well they are from a local Suzuki dealer, but at a ridiculous price).

My idea is that a friend of mine buys them in UK, and then brings them over to me on his next pending visit.
As he will be coming by airplane, there is obviously a limitation on the size of the items which he can put in his luggage bags.

That is why I am asking for the dimensions. I would appreciate the dimension of each "section" of the deflector, as well as its diagonal dimension (the diagonal distance from one end to the other).

P.S.: Does anyone have an idea of the approx. weight of each deflector?

Kind regards!

I had a set of wind deflectors G3 ones took them off because the window had trouble closing, it really struggled when it started to go in-between the deflectors and the window rubber

Never done this before (though often wanted to) but I had a set of deflectors that were enormous so this week I cut them back about 75% with a Dremel. Now they are just big enough to keep rain out with the window slightly cracked open. I followed the line of the tinting; I have seen better but at least it works.

They were originally stuck on and had clips; I spent ages removing the sticky residue on the doors. I left the residue on the deflectors for thickness and then I replaced them just using the clips.
