Also, I just thought...what about the heating strips in the rear window?? Did you just cover them over on the inside with the film? If yes then have you had any problems with the heat?

Yes straight over the heat strips, how ever i can remove my rear window because i have the removable hard top if you notice so it was easy to do. BUt its still not hard on the windows that are fitted. Iv had no issues at al with the heat.

Here is a picture the day i did it. This was my 1st mod i think. I have since taken the front tints off though i didnt wnt to get done by the police and im too old to be a boy racer now.

Brilliant. Well I'll give it a go then. I'm gonna get it ordered this week so I can have a crack at it next weekend when I've got some time off. Actually looking forward to it now, hope it turns out alright! I'll let you know how I get on.

i remember back in the day doing my mini ,first side took ages and a couple of pieces but once you get the hang of it its not so bad

Years ago I got stopped, told to follow the police car to a check point and then they impounded my car, I had to remove the dark tint before the car could go back on the road.
Since however I have had a very light tint to the front windows on my GV, but after several years with just a very light tint on the front, i've since removed it and my ageing eyes notice the difference in the dark.
My job involves 70K miles a year so I keep everything 100% legal'ish.
