I helped someone wire up lights on a Discovery 4 - which he definitely didn't want to drill holes in!

Our solution was to use insulated copper foil tape, similar to this: www.jpleisure.co.uk/item71017.htm , but 5mm wide. A single strip over a couple of feet would handle 10A without heating up noticeably. We just ran two (live & earth) per lamp.

The terminations are also self adhesive foam backed with screw terminals. We ran this from the edge of the light bar, through the door jam under the sealing rubber and terminated it inside the headlining. He stuck Vinyl (that you use for signs) over the top which was an approximate colour match - and the whole thing was invisible and non damaging.

Oh ill post some pics up of my spot light install, used Halfords roof bars then mounted 4 wipac spot lights up front and 2 wipac work lights at the rear for reversing and recoverys, also mounted my waffle boards on the bars aswell, look quite good if i might say so (ill post pics soon)

As for the wiring ran all the wining along the standard roof bars down into the rear door under the rubber seal, then along the drivers side behind the rear panel under the seat to my switches near the gear stick... Top job if i say so, all is linked live to the battery with a HUGE fuse lol

Cheers Dan
