Radio Aerial - Help Please was created by r1ch
Gents, I managed to snap the manual extending radio aerial, (a pillar, drivers side), on a tree branch, (yes, forgot to push it in, b*gger!). Does the assembled forum know of anywhere online where I can order a new one, (looks a reasonably easy fix), or am I in for a trip to my local Stealer?..
Thanks
Rich.

Hi, When I bought my Jimny the aerial was already snapped off at the base. However using pliers I managed to pull it out to full extension, where there was enough left to use as a functioning aerial. I found a 'bung' in the my bits bin, stuck in on the end
job done.
Hope you've enough left, cos new ones are not cheap.

Yep had mine out when I fitted snorkel. If you end up removing it make sure you connect a line of some kind so you can guide the new wire back to the right place as will try to disapear behind the kick panel

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The soft top and hard top aerials are different part numbers, make sure you order the right one.
I've been looking out for a cheap hard top one for the last 12 months....
