I've seen quite a few Jimny's with the hi-lift jack mounted on the spare wheel. Renard38 does that I think.
For myself, i've carried and used a "Bull-bag" for years. These are bags that are inflated by the exhaust to lift the car up. They are brilliant, especially in hazardous conditions like jacking on sand, in a creek or on shale. I swear by them.
Also, with the Jimny, there are not many places where you can use a hi-lift jack unless you have rock sliders down the side, steel bumpers front and rear. Otherwise you may find only plastic.
