i have a new jimny automatic its done 400 miles there seems to be a whine it seems to be related to the speed i asked the garage to have a test run he said it could be transmition noise, is this normal any ideas

Unlike normal road cars, they do have a bit of a quirky whine from the running gear. Provided its not too loud its normal.
