BigJimny Rally ???

Just wondered if there would be any interest in staging a Bigjimny rally with camping/laning over a weekend sometime later in the year. Would consist of camping Friday and Saturday nights with laning on the Saturday followed by a BBQ/social evening leaving Sunday for people to do their own thing or more lanes.

Now I can hear you all saying "what campsite is going to take a big group of offroaders ".

There is a campsite on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales at Austwick called Dalesbridge which have a separate events field for rallys/large groups. This of course puts us in prime position for all the Dales lanes that are still open.

They usually charge £4 per tent & £5 per person per night but a bona fide group doesn't have to pay any tent charges, just the person charge.

Just testing the water to see if there would be many takers.

i might go too gromit but my cars only standard and still quite new on a 57 plate so would be only interested without damaging jimny - mike

Probably won't happen as only 4 people have said they are interested and we need a minimum of 10 tents or vans to have the field to ourselves.

I"ve done quite a few camping/laning weekends for the bunch that I hang around with and usually find that quite a few drop out at the last minute, we only had 4 for the last outing in North Yorkshire last September.

I'm doing one at Shell island (Wales) at the start of May and am attending the Northern Monkey Offroad one in late July, so would be looking at the start of September for a Dales one.
