Insurance... was created by Pete E
Just had a quote for this years insurance from the NFU for fully comp and its £470  Thats will full no claims discount and no convictions or claims in the last three years  :

Direct Line looks as if it they will be £90 cheaper...

Can anybody else recommend anywhere thats likely to be cheaper?

Was also surprised that both company's advised that 3rd Party F&T cover is no longer a cheaper option??

Also, at what point do you start advising the insurance company the vehicle has been modified?

you should advise insurance company right away for any mods you do

is it your daily driver or a second vehicle ??

nor county & 2gether are both very cheap for modified vehicles

im with 2gether & mine is under £200 a year with all mods declared

Tell them about mods now, then as you add them its no problems. Try HIC insurance.

What I have found is that if it's your 'second' car, it's always going to be expensive.
My Jimny Fully comp all mods declared etc etc and it's £297pa!!!!
My Merc with 234bhp is £220 Fully comp for the similar cover, obviously without green lane cover.

I will be shopping around when it/they come up for renewal though.

Try Cherished Numbers(?) Insurance, I'm told they are quite good?

Keith :)
