No I found that one on the test drive and thought it odd that Suzuki only had it on the new jimny when my old subaru pickups did it 30 odd years ago. No it seems that if you have the hill decent control switched on and the green light lit then you can engage 1st low and take your feet off and it will creep up hill at about the same speed as it goes down, it tries to maintain 750rpm even up some quite significant hills even with a trailer on the back. Switch it off and it stalls doing the same trick. My land cruiser does it too but it's just there all the time without any intervention from the driver.

I have just tested this in my Manual twice yesterday going over The Old Coach Road up near Ullswater. I had to stop it from stalling, it would have done so, without intervention. I'm guessing what you have experienced is due to it being an Auto box?

Yeah manual gearbox. It could also be an age related feature being a 24? If I have opportunity I will try it in 4x4 high and see if it has any bearing.

Sorry, my bad. I thought you'd got another Auto. (plus I didn't realise the LCV's only came as manual. Every day is a school day) :)
