Thanks Kirkynut
This Wednesday / Sunday I hope to finish the driver's side, and then push it out of the garage and turn in round... then you'll see how much more there actually is to do... although I know what I'm doing this time!

Good productive day today!
Chopped the rear arch off into it's new buggy shape, rather than a lorry wheel arch!
And then added another mounting tab on the front...
And then...
... another at the rear off the bottom box section part of the rear body tub... that's a small length of L-shaped edging, so it's supporting the arch from underneath too, couple of bolts and large repair washers behind should stop those pesk trees from stealing it?
I then started on the A-pillar tube... cut it to length...
And then stared at the top wondering where the hell to cut it?!
About that length? With a small scallop on the outer side?...
And a bigger scallop on this side to match the angle of the corner of the top halo hoop?...
Committed now!
Phew!
Shaped and ready to be welded in place
In place!
Bah! Remember that nasty join? better sort that out at the same time...
I did some CAD (Cardboard Aided Design) first, and then transfered that to some thin car body repair sheet, and bent the edges over so there was no sharp edge on the door gap...
Not bad for a cmplete amateur? All bend by hand with some wide mouther mole grips and some help from a hammer!
That needs gluing in place there then?...
Ooooh, yes :woohoo: , happy with that!...
Finish off the front mudguard mounts on Sunday, and it'll be ready to push out, turn round, and start on t'other side! :woohoo:
