Make a good start today, was delayed a bit by an appointment with the diabetic specialist though...
But then I flew round to pick us some rear wheel bearing kits and dropped them off at the garage to press them on, and picked up the front hubs with the new fresh bearings in... so I reassembled them, torquing the nuts up in the vice and nearly twisting it off the bench! LOL
I then fitted the rear prop, photo above...
And then changed all the tie rod ends on the two steering bars...
And then began reassembling the front axle, up to the stage of getting the hubs back on, but have left that for a fresh start on Sunday...
My two specialist tools! Half an over-centre pair of pliers serves as my oil seal removal tool, and an extension bar with a suitably sized socket on is the exact size for tapping the kingpin races out of the swivel ball, and then doubles as the right size to tap the oil seals home too...
Just before knocking off for the day I drained and refilled the transfer box... nice thick oil and some moly grease scooped in on a big screwdriver...
So that leaves Sunday to get the rear shafts back in when they get back with the bearings and ABS collars on, finish rebuilding the hubs and then the new free wheel hubs, hopefully the new front brake calipers will turn up from Germany by the weekend too...
Fresh oil in both axles, and then we're about ready to go!
